The U of L offense has ground to a halt, the defense gave up its first damaging big play of the game and N.C. State, despite doing little all day, is just six points down with 4:54 left in the third quarter.
Amid the big storylines:
— Brian Brohm’s struggles. He’s been ineffective in the second half — including an inexcusable interception — and had four costly overthrows in the first half.
— Injuries. U of L has lost Adrian Grady, Woodney Turene, Anthony Allen and Johnny Patrick. No word on any of the injuries. N.C. State starting quarterback Harrison Beck came out and within five minutes, the press box announcement came that Beck was being taken in for X-rays to his collarbone.
— U of L offense goes 3 and out again (Urrutia drop the key play). And N.C. State will get it back with a chance to take the lead.
