Believe in Circus Catches

A beautiful throw under some pressure by Andre’ Woodson and a fantastic catch in the end zone by Jacob Tamme, and the Cats have tied it up at 10-10 with 12:13 left in the first half.

Chris Fowler, doing play-by-play for ESPN, called it an “All-American throw.”

They’re reviewing the play, but I’m not sure why. Tamme got two feet and a knee down. Maybe they just wanted to watch it again. It was a pretty play.

That drive was UK’s best offensive sequence — four passes and a couple of Rafael Little runs after the start of the second quarter. Woodson even made a good decision to throw one pass away. Dicky Lyons kept the drive going with a big one-handed catch of his own on third down.

Tie game.
