Disastrous second-half start

As UK was winning 10 out of 11 games, the constant was Andre’ Woodson not giving the ball away.

Now, he has done it three times at South Carolina, and twice the result was a touchdown for the Gamecocks.

An ill-advised effort to get rid of the ball while in the grasp of SC’s Casper Brinkley resulted in a lateral, a live ball, that Eric Norwood scooped up and ran 53 yards for his second defensive touchdown of the game.

It’s far from an insurmountable lead for UK, but Woodson needs to get himself together to lead it.

Lots of time left. No need to abandon the good run-pass mix. But with this lead, SC now can be much more aggressive in blitzing.
