Halftime: SC 17, UK 10

In many ways, UK has been getting away with giving opponents chances all season. U of L. Arkansas.

One of these days it will catch up with them.

The game is, as expected, virtually even, but an Andre’ Woodson interception at the end of the half and UK’s inability to get off the field on third-and-long means South Carolina is leading 17-10.

Second half keys:

— Woodson’s health. On several plays where he might have dropped back and thrown it deep, UK coach Rich Brooks appeared to be protecting Woodson late in the half, hoping to get him back to the locker room where the cobwebs could go away after taking a knee to the head following his intercepted pass.

— Woodson threw into coverage far too much in the first half. UK is getting receivers open — he has to find the right ones.

— The UK defense actually performed pretty respectfully apart from its third down performance. More pressure Smelley is the key. They’ve yet to really rattle him.

— Two words: Keenan Burton.
