Fourth and forever

A strange series for the Cards: On successive plays they had an illegal procedure call, a 12-yard sack, a holding call, and another procedure call to bring up second down and 42.

Not many play calls on the laminated sheet for that one.

Shouldn’t really matter though. Pitt can’t throw downfield. This one is over, and it isn’t even halftime, and the score isn’t even lopsided. Yet.

Pitt has two first downs and 6 passing yards.

Give credit to the U of L defense, which has played mistake-free with the exception of an awful taunting personal foul call on Peanut Whitehead, who made a 15-yard sack, then gave all the yards back, and a pass-interference call that was questionable.
