U of L’s defense forces a WVU fumble near midfield, and with the help of Mountaineer pass interference, the Cards drive 46 yards for a touchdown to pull within 31-21 with a minute to play in the fourth quarter.
A Brian Brohm pass was deflected in the end zone and interceped, and run back 78 yards before Brohm himself made a touchdown-saving tackle. Of course, none of it mattered. Intereference was called setting it up at the WVU 2, and Brock Bolen carried it in.
U of L’s defense continues to make plays. One more stop and the offense will have yet another chance to make this game tight.
