Biggest deficit of the season

Since my last blog, U of L has given up a couple of first downs with fourth-down penalties, including a roughing the kicker call on a South Florida field goal that led to a TD on the next play.

So if you’re scoring at home, that’s 17 points you can lay at the feet of the defense, 10 you can credit to the account of the special teams.

I think we can all agree, those groups have been abysmal.

But the more important question is this — where is the offense?

As bad as the defense and special teams have been, this would still be a ballgame if the offense had showed up.

As it is, the Cards are facing their biggest deficit of the season. (They were down 21 to both Utah and Syracuse).
