Apologies, folks. Spent most of the first half on the field, just to get a different perspective on things.
But it’s pretty much the same perspective you got if you were watching at home.
The Cards can’t run and can’t protect the quarterback, but other than that, the offense is fine. In his past two halves of football, Brian Brohm has been sacked eight times.
The last might be costly. Brohm was limping noticeably after his final sack of the first half. After throwing a touchdown pass two plays later, he went to the X-ray room with team doctor Raymond Shea. Brohm and Shea emerged from the room several minutes later and jogged back to the locker room.
Give U of L fans credit tonight. For a cold Thursday night, this U of L crowd has been large and supportive — especially given the lackluster effort they’ve seen for most of the night.
