Rutgers 7, Louisville 3

Sorry for the late start to the live game blog, folks.

Let’s catch up.

On each team’s first drive:

The U of L defense is still the U of L defense. Rutgers scored in 5 plays, and Ryan Teel hit on a 36-yard TD pass for the score, throwing at cornerback Johnny Patrick, playing in place of corner Rod Council, who has been suspended for the first quarter.

The Cardinals got a 55-yard run from Brock Bolen on their first play from scrimmage, but couldn’t cash in with a touchdown.

They did, however, get a 41-yard field goal from Art Carmody, who became the NCAA’s all-time top scoring kicker by hitting the field goal.

Rutgers has the ball back. Look for a steady diet of rice.
