Another hit for the U of L football defense. Linebacker Lamar Myles has hired an agent and declared himself eligible for the NFL Draft, according to an email from Cleveland public relations agent Tim Carley, working on behalf of the Cleveland-based PlayersRep Sports Management.
Myles himself confirmed the decision this morning on WKRD 790-AM’s Bob and Will Show.
It’s a serious blow for the Cardinals. Myles wasn’t just the Cardinals’ leading tackler, he had 70 more tackles than any player on the team last season. The Cards were already thin at linebacker heading into next season.
New defensive coordinator Ron English, in several areas, will be starting from scratch.
More to come . . .
