Alley Cats come back

The Wildcats are hanging tough. I’m sorry, but to be down just nine near the end of the first half on the road against the No. 1 team in the nation with your best player on crutches is a sign that somebody is doing something right.

The Cats loook to be getting the hang of the kind of patient offensive attack that Gillispie has asked them to run, and they’ve stiffened a little defensively in the post, though they’re being helped by Tennessee pulling the trigger on a lot of outside shots.

UK is 4 of 9 from the free throw line. If it had made its free throws, it would be in a tight one. As it is, the Cats have outscored UT 17-11 since falling behind 20-5 early.
