Cats hanging tough

With 7:43 left, UK trails 56-51. Ramel Bradley is on the bench with four fouls.

I’m not one to advocate theft, but now is the time for the Wildcats to steal four minutes. They need to drain the clock, slow the game, shorten the game, match baskets, anything to keep the score right where it is or closer to the about the 3-minute mark.

They’ve done a good job in that direction already. Joe Crawford has absolutely kept them in this game. Marquette took an 11 point lead, then he drove and was fouled for a 3-point play, then delivered a 3-pointer from the wing to keep things from getting out of hand. Of UK’s 22 second-half points, Crawford has 16.

UK did an impressive thing in stopping the bleeding. The Cats are still in this one despite taking a pretty good punch.
