Kentucky-Florida kickoff

It’s 68 degrees at game time.

The Wildcats are banged up. Marcus McClinton isn’t starting. The linebacking corps is hurt.

So how can they win?

I’ll give it a shot.

1). Defensive determination. The UK defensive front will probably have to play out of its mind. They’ll not only need to slow down the Gators, but hope for some sloppiness that leads to something UK has been good at this season — creating turnovers.

2). Randall Cobb. He’ll need enough touches to influence this game. UK needs to establish enough of a running game to keep the clock running. Three and outs, against this opponent, will lead to a lopsided loss.

3). Tim Masthay. His ability to change field position has been big in every game UK has played, and maybe it will help give the Wildcats a chance today.

4). Short passing. The Wildcats need to look hard over the middle, run a lot of crossing routes to backs and tight ends, and take the 6-8 yard gain where it’s available.

More to come in a new thread. We’ll have commentary throughout.
