The Associated Press poll is out, and the University of Louisville men’s basketball team made an even bigger jump than it did in the coach’s poll. The Cards are No. 9 in the media poll, back into the top ten after beating three ranked teams in a week.
I’d say the Cards probably are one of the ten best teams in the country now — but to stay in the top 10 in the next poll, they’re going to have to earn it. Rutgers is a classic trap game — Earl Clark and Edgar Sosa heading back home, a big win over No. 1 Pitt just behind them and a big game at Syracuse ahead.
In fact, that Syracuse game is looking like one of the games of the year in the Big East.
