ESPN’s Andy Katz has gotten an interview that certainly will be a stimulus to University of Louisville basketball fans. President Barack Obama has tabbed the Cardinals to go to the Final Four in his bracket, which will be released by ESPN tomorrow.
In an interview that will air on tomorrow’s noon edition of SportsCenter, Obama, a longtime college hoops junkie, will reveal his pick for national champion. As well, his bracket will go into competition with more than 3.5 million hoops fans from all over the nation in ESPN.com’s Men’s Tournament Challenge.
Obama is tabbing North Carolina, Memphis and Pittsburgh also to reach the Final Four. That’s three No. 1 seeds and a No. 2.
So, whatever else the Cards have going for them, they now have something even bigger perhaps than a No. 1 seed: A Presidential mandate.
