Let the carnage commence

As if on cue, my NCAA Tournament bracket has begun to implode today, but it has still be fun to watch.

Missouri over Clemson? Didn’t have it.

Purdue over Siena? Should have had it. Didn’t. Siena was the equivalent of the wise-guy Derby week horse that everybody starts talking about. The Saints ran just about the way those horses do.

Wofford nearly knocking off Wisconsin? No way. I watched Wofford beat Appalachian State in their conference tournament game and was not impressed.

And Cornell beats Temple. The Owls looked to me to be strong, fast, and a potential dark-horse. Now the fighting Andy Bernards could be waiting for the Kentucky Wildcats in Syracuse if all were to go right.

Kentucky, of course, still has to take care of business against Wake Forest. And looking at the potential third-round opponents — Cornell and Wisconsin — I’d say this game is the greater threat.

The interviews are finished in New Orleans. Time to start writing about tomorrow’s UK-Wake Forest game. More to come on the blog later.
