A day after being waived by the Carolina Panthers, former University of Louisville quarterback Hunter Cantwell has been signed by the Baltimore Ravens.
While Carolina seemed enamored of former Cincinnati QB Tony Pike, there was little doubt that Cantwell had showed enough in his time in Carolina to be picked up. Team officials seemed happy with just about everything he did. Before preseason camp, reports were that he had a chance to challenge for the No. 2 spot, but former Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen locked that up.
Cantwell will join the Ravens’ practice squad, which has two open QB spots, according to The Baltimore Sun.
