Boise State is good. We still need a playoff

I’ve already heard BCS apologists lauding last night’s thrilling Boise State-Virginia Tech game as the reason college football is special, that it makes “every game count” and puts added drama and value in the regular season.

A game like that, however, would be special no matter where or when it is played. And Boise State has been messed over perhaps more than any program by the current BCS setup.

So let’s start the morning with a reminder of why a college football playoff is so badly needed. This comes from Playoff PAC, a federal political action committee lobbying for a playoff.
